DEMOCRACY DAY FROM THE DESK OF AMULUDUN GBEMIGA

HAPPY DEMOCRACY DAY

As we mark 19 years of uninterrupted democratic government in our nation today, I celebrate with every citizens of our dear country on this feat and urge everyone to continue to believe in the vision of a greater Nigeria.

As always, this year's celebration is unique. It's the penultimate year to an election year. As we approach another general elections in 2019, there is a continuous need to strengthen and promote our democratic process. Consequently, I charge everyone especially the youths to actively participate (directly or indirectly) in the political and electoral process, engage political parties and aspirants on their manifestos/plans for their constituencies and the nation at large. That way we will encourage and support good and credible persons into positions of power.

Our President in his Democracy Day broadcast today announced his plan to sign the #NotTooYoungToRun bill into law in a matter of days. I hereby implore youths with great ideas and a passion to serve to take advantage of this new law and run for political office.

It is important we all work together and demand good governance; protection of lives and property, reduction/eradication of corruption and poverty, reduction of unemployment and improvement of the lives of every Nigerian among others.

A greater Nigeria is possible. It is up to You & I.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Signed

Amuludun Gbemiga
For a Better #Alimosho
