Do I really blame our youths whose thoughts have been clouded about life overseas.
Whose conviction is so clear and strong about making it abroad than in our country Nigeria. Do I really blame our youths who wash(es) dead bodies and does dishes to earn a living in the name of living 'abroad'
Should I blame my sweet lover who went abroad only for his masters but has refused to come home? All he does is promise to visit for months but ends up spending a week or two? I don't really blame him for not wanting to stay here in Nigeria. After all, he's enjoying constant light and a free wifi which *sigh* is almost an impossible mission for us here. 😕ðŸ˜
Am very much aware of how non citizens live abroad, how hard it is for an average Nigerian to survive, except you're just going for relaxation or business wise spending a couple weeks or months. It's a hard bait to catch if your mission as a youth is to find greener pasture.
"Suffering and smiling" that how I see these people. They work their asses off to get paid only for the same money to return to the government as tax and so many other bills. They earn so little (not really) live in a very minimal way yet they refuse to come home. Talk of the latest phones, iPhone 5s, Samsung s4, Sony experia z1 and the likes, they own it. Even the much talked about Samsung s5 coming out soonest, they also can't wait to have it.
Send good money home, buy assets that would appreciate just so you can have something to fall back on thanks to their money value which is so intimidating to ours' Nah, it's too huge for them. I mean, if you can't move forward it's ok to return to your root than stay on a spot!
Deep sigh... Despite how un even our situation is here in Nigeria, Home is home. If we all wanna travel and not return, who will be around to make a change? It's powerful how a single match can light up hundreds and even thousands of candles.
I just hope my neighbour would return ASAP. Am sure my lover would see this, I just hope he would change his mind and come here to stay. I mean, it's ok if you come home without anything. I'll understand things didn't work out as planned... LOL, am kidding. You wouldn't dare it anyway...
