It was a day filled with excitement, thanksgiving, remembrance, getting along with old friends and above all....
having fun just like the old times when the Old Boys of St. Finbarr's college, Akoka gathered to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the great school founded in 1956 by Very Reverend Father Slattery which has so far produced well meaning Nigerians like the Late Stephen Keshi, Patrick Doyle, Samson Siasia...to mention a few.
The day started with the Thanksgiving service before proceeding to the school's main auditorium where the event was anchored by Patrick Doyle and performances were done by St. Finbarr's College cultural group.

I really missed this great event for reasons very much beyond my control. Let's pull our thoughts, ideas, resources, etc. together to reactivate and place SFC Akoka to the enviable place it rightly belongs. Please do well to revive our passive old boys. Together we march forward.
